Compelling Truth

by Robin Schumacher

The word for truth in Greek is aletheia, which literally means to "un-hide" or "hide nothing." It communicates the fact that truth is revealed or discovered – never invented. "True truth," as Francis Schaeffer used to call it, reveals the actual state of reality and stands in stark contrast to today's "true for you but not for me" way of thinking. Truth is also embodied in a person, Jesus Christ, who made the audacious claim "I am the truth" (John 14:6). We unashamedly admit we look to Christ and God's Word as our litmus test for truth.

This blog, written by apologist and theologian Robin Schumacher aims to show you that God's truth impacts you in such a compelling way that it not only changes what you do, but changes what you want to do. And when our desires match God's, that's when we are blessed, as Jesus said: "If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them" (John 13:17).
