Welcome to Keep Watch! This blog, by Jim Allen, is dedicated to helping you learn and stay informed about dangerous deceptions in the pulpits and byways of life. The apostle Paul warned of an event that would take place in the church just prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Paul identified the event as the "falling away," a deception so intense and clever that many would receive a false gospel based on lies (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).

Satan's power is rooted in unfathomable darkness, possessing the ability to make lies appear as truth. From Genesis to Revelation, the adversary is the master deceiver, raising up ministers and signposts that lead incautious souls away to a frightening eternity. His deadly snares are everywhere, hidden and hard to detect. Like baby sea turtles scurrying across the sand, we are always in danger of being snapped up by a predator. Keep Watch! is here to point us to the Truth that will help us get safely to the sea.
