Social Decline and Financial Collapse

The Tough Truth

Sorry, but here's the tough truth regarding social decline and financial collapse…

We're all lemmings sprinting toward the cliff. Although a few of us have squealed in protest from time to time, the destiny of the herd is certain…

We're all going off the cliff!

The collective momentum is irreversible. It is no longer a matter of IF, but WHEN.

Social Decline and Financial Collapse -- The Signs are Clear

The social decline and impending financial collapse of our cushy culture is pretty obvious, even to a wandering slacker like me. Even with my clouded vision, I see the misplaced security, manufactured comfort, and media-induced apathy everywhere. Rather than selfless service to family, community, and country, most of us have consumed the Kool-Aid called "Personal Peace and Affluence." (Francis Schaeffer)

The norm is now financial recklessness, bureaucratic machinery, and entitlement expansion. The moral compass has lost ‘true north.' At all levels of culture and society, rationalization, justification, and denial are rising just as fast as the tide of depravity, corruption, and pride. The moral high ground is now, "whatever"…

"In God We Trust" has been replaced by "In Stuff We Trust." "We the People" have been silenced by the voice of "Intolerant Tolerance." Despite the record of history, we reject the existence of "Evil" in favor of "Enlightenment." We push for a borderless, peaceful, Global Village, despite the recurring reality of totalitarian despots, dictators, and thugs.

Yes, I'm as guilty as the next guy. I've closed my eyes to truth on many occasions. At first, it's the maintenance of the dream. It's positivism. It's progress. It's unfounded faith. I knew my eyes were clogged or closed, but it was just for a season, right?

Then it hits… Sheer escapism, financial recklessness, and intellectual lunacy. Once you're sprinting with the herd, it's impossible to reverse course without huge pain. So I just kept running…

Social Decline and Financial Collapse – The Collective Reality

Yes, we all approach the edge of the cliff. Social decline and financial collapse are looming ahead.

All of us -- rich and poor; healthy and infirm; famous and unknown; God-fearing and secular – are now running full speed. Within a few short years (if we're "lucky"), we're all going over the cliff…

The big question: What will we grasp for as we fall…?

The personal challenge: What will I grasp for…?

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (Jesus)
